We stopped by 1st & Goal on Cesery in Arlington for an after-dinner drink and were genuinely impressed. The service was exceptional from the start. The hostess greeted us immediately and multiple servers went out of their way to ensure we were seated comfortably. Although we weren't there for dinner, just drinks, the team treated us like honored guests. The highlight of the evening was when the bartender surprised us by naming us the "couple of the evening." We were presented with an enormous strawberry margarita and a complimentary shrimp cocktail that was absolutely delicious. The shrimp tasted incredibly fresh -- possibly Mayport shrimp -- and were perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, with large-screen TVs offering basketball and Olympic coverage. We hadn't realized it was also a hookah bar, but it added to the energetic vibe and guests seemed to really enjoy it. The entire staff was gracious, attentive and accommodating. What started as a simple nightcap turned into a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back.
